Robert Thomas Elder, 90, of Dade City, Florida, passed away at Gulfside Hospice Care Center in Zephyrhills, Florida, June 30, 2024.
Bob was born April 16, 1934 in Beaver Falls, Pa. Son of John and Elizabeth Elder, he and his family moved to Columbiana after his graduation from Beaver Falls High School where they opened Columbiana Tractor Sales. He also helped to organize the Columbiana Jaycees. After retiring, he and his wife settled in Florida.
Bob enjoyed traveling with his family and joining his buddies on their fishing trips to Canada. He was known for his sense of humor while helping out friends and family. He also enjoyed making wine in his later years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Donna James Elder, daughters Terry (Mathew) Hapach and Barbara (Harvey James) Wilson, granddaughters Jenny (John ) Conner and Michelle Coleman, and great-grandsons Evan Conner and Spencer Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his sister Anna Jean McCurdy.
There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in his memory, to Gulfside Healthcare Services.com.
