1951-2024

LISBON -- Marlene Kay Senanefes, 72, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. She was born September 24, 1951, in East Liverpool, daughter of the late Charles N. and Ann (Harris) Senanefes.

Marlene was a life-long resident of Lisbon and a graduate of David Anderson High School. She retired in 2017 from McDonalds in Lisbon as a cashier after 12 years of faithful service. Marlene was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Lisbon Eagles Aerie #2216, Lisbon Historical Society, Agaipe Society (the church's lady's group), an avid reader and a die-hard Steeler's fan. She also worked as a poll worker.

She leaves behind her sisters, Elaine (Andrew) Tenzek of East Liverpool and Faye Traversa of Salem; a nephew, Matthew (Aimee) Tenzek; three nieces, Andrea (Tom) Gruhalla, Melissa (Lee) Sperber, and Jenna Traversa; 6 great nieces, Lillian, Elise, Juliette, Caroline, Madison and Charliann, and two great nephews, Lucas and Noah.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at the funeral home with Father Joseph S. DiStefano officiating. She will be laid to rest at Lisbon Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lisbon Alumni Association, P.O. Box 421, Lisbon, OH 44432.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
