COLUMBIANA -- John Edwin Morlan, 74, of Columbiana, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Hospice House, Poland.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1949, in Columbiana, son of the late Wilbur and Mary Jane Garrett Morlan.
John was a loyal and proud alumnus of The Ohio State University, and he enjoyed golfing, career coaching and mentoring, spending time with friends and family and watching golf and Ohio State and Steelers Football.
John's charisma, infectious personality, charm and abundant and generous affection for those around him will be greatly missed.
His wife, Susan Ann Mack Recker, preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2019.
John is survived by his two sons, Garrett (Denyse) Morlan of Seattle, Wash., and Josh (Paula) Morlan of Lisbon; stepdaughter, Valerie Recker; sister, Tes Camp; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Per John's wishes, no services will be held at this time. His family asks that you celebrate him by remembering the great man he was and cherish and recall the special times we've shared with him along the way. We take comfort in knowing that he has at last made it to that great big golf course in the sky and is probably getting more than a few overdue birdies.
