Janet "Kay" Campbell Hebrock Price,70, of East Liverpool, passed away on June 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on June 28, 1953, the daughter of the late Lora Campbell Davis, who raised her, and the late Jean Campbell Hebrock Buckley. She was a graduate at Oak Glen High School in 1971.
Kay spent life as a wife and mother and working in many places. Her last employment was Hill's Dept. Store., Snack Bar Server. She was also known for working at the Dairy Queen, Hall China and Scafide's Market. Kay was a minister. She also was a past member of Assembly of God Church in Calcutta, where she served in many positions. She was most known for her part in "Feeding the Hungry" and going around the community seeking out people who were in need of a meal. Her passion was "leave none hungry." She was the first woman to start "Aware" breast cancer awareness. She ministered to women in Columbiana County Jails. She devoted most of her life to the church.
Kay's family and friends knew her from her baking and her famous fudge. It made her very happy to host the family gatherings on the holidays.
Besides her grandmother and mother, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Boyle and Donna Jean Hebrock, and a special uncle who was like her dad, Roger C. Young .
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Price, her children, Paula (Brian) Vaughn and Rickie (Bill) Moore and by her "adopted by Love daughter" Jennifer Willison; grandchildren Doug Moore, Brian (Tatiana) Moore and Cammie Moore; also two great-grandchildren, Arlo Moore and Riot Moore, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are two special aunts, Ruth Young and June Campbell; two sisters, Sue (Jim) Daffan of Orlando, Fla., and Harriett Call of East Liverpool; brothers, Tim (Rhonda) Hebrock and Ron (Deedy) Hebrock of Chester; and special friends and aide of many years, Shelia Hanlon, Rosie and Tony. She will be missed by all who was blessed to have known her.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
