EAST PALESTINE -- Lois J. Bennington, 94, passed away April 30, 2024, at Allay Senior Care in Lisbon.
Lois was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Mildren McCalla Dyke.
She was a 1947 graduate of East Palestine High School. Following high school, Lois went to work at Electrical Refractories in East Palestine, where she worked until her retirement at 78 years of age. When not working, Lois enjoyed gardening.
Lois is survived by her son, Jim Bennington of East Palestine, and a sister, Linda Snow.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Bennington and a brother, Ronald S. Dyke.
Following Lois' wishes, a private burial will be held at Glenview Cemetery.
Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
