Aidan Jude Fridrick, infant son of Richard Martin Fridrick and Amber Istre Fridrick, was born on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Lourdes Women's and Children's Hospital of Lafayette, La., and died on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Survivors include his parents, Rick and Amber Fridrick; two siblings, Emilia Fridrick and Rinnick Fridrick; paternal grandparents, Richard L. Fridrick and Colleen Shaw; two aunts, Kim Plumm and spouse Norm Plumm, Alisha Standish and spouse Joseph Standish; and numerous cousins. He is also survived by maternal grandparents, Jerry and Laura Istre; two uncles, Jacob Istre and spouse Amanda Istre, and Trevor Istre and spouse Ali Istre, and cousins, Noah and Kate Istre.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Juliana Elizabeth Fridrick; step-grandmother, Susan P. Fridrick, and step-grandfather, George Shaw.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, La., with Rev. Connor Poirrier officiating and Deacon Barry LeBlanc of St. Leo IV Catholic Church will be the concelebrant. Interment private.
Pallbearers will be Godfather Jason Plumm and uncles Jacob Istre and Trevor Istre, and Kevin Boudreaux.
Visitation will be observed at Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne, La., on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m., and prayer service will begin at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family with medical and funeral expenses may be made to the Aidan Jude Fridrick Memorial Fund through GoFundMe.
