Rose Mary Kibler, 81, of Alliance went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at Bel Air Care Center in Alliance. She was born on April 21, 1942, in Woodsfield, Ohio, to the late Clara (Piatt) and Ray Briggs. Rose was a graduate of Caldwell High School and was a member of the Westville Congregational Christian Church.
Rose met her sweetheart and husband of 50 years at the Mount Union Diner where she worked as a waitress. Her husband said he would go there for lunch and coffee because Rose made the best coffee in town. She also worked as a baker for Dunkin Donuts in Salem and Alliance along with being a homemaker and watching children.
Survivors include her daughter Aldora (Fred) Smith of Lisbon, Ohio; two sons, Lawerence (Terrie) Kibler of Florida and Billy (Pam) Kibler of Texas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Nancy Bader of Massillon, Ohio; one niece, Beverly Estes; two nephews, David and Jason Throckmorton; and several great-nieces and -nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Kibler Sr.; a daughter, Roberta L. Kibler; a son, Robert L. Kibler Jr.; a grandson, Richard Kibler; and a sister, Catherine Stephens.
Rose's family would like to thank everyone at Tri-County Emergency, Dr. Jean Lang, all the nurses and staff at Bel Air Care Center, Alliance City Hospital and Hospice as well as Sherri for always sitting with Rose, Christina for all her extra care and our neighbor Dixie.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio, with Pastor Arron Hinchliffe officiating. A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
