Robert James McEwen, 82, of East Palestine died peacefully at the Hospice House in Poland OH following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born in Irwin PA on January 16, 1942 a son of the late Edwin Henry and Anna (Ward) Henry.
Having lived most of his life in the area Robert worked in maintenance for Walmart, retiring in 2020.
Robert is survived by his wife Viola (Lipp) McEwen whom he married September 1, 1973; two daughters: Christina Wiggins (Russell) of Bryson City NC, Bobbie Jo McEwen-Worley of East Palestine; a step daughter: Donna Hancock of East Palestine; four brothers: George McEwen, Eddie Henry (Lana), John Henry (Patty) and Denny Henry (Karen) all of Greenburgh PA; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Linsley Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine on Thursday February 15, 2024 at 6pm with Pastor Kenny Stull of MT Calvary officiating.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Thursday from 4-6pm
