Brian Charles Wisbith

1962-2024

Brian Charles Wisbith was born in Hackensack, N.J., on Aug. 4, 1962. He grew up near Rogers, Ohio. He married Cindy Hoover on May 5, 1990. On this earth, they spent 33-plus years together, holding hands until God called him home.

To know Brian was a gift. He actively lived his faith no matter the price it cost him. Meeting him was like finding a long-lost friend you didn’t know you had. He had the kindest way of making people feel important and of value.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Valaria Wisbith, special Great Aunt Antoinette Landman, Great Uncle Pete Janos, and his father-in-law Crinley Hoover. He and Crinley spent a year restoring Brian and Cindy’s home in Rogers, Ohio, where Crinley taught him all his handy man skills.

Brian and Cindy moved “home” to North Topsail Beach, N.C., in 2018, accomplishing a 20-year goal. His favorite times were entertaining and cooking for family and friends, but no time was more precious to him than the time he spent with their son, Nathaniel, and daughter-in-law Alexa Wisbith. His happiest day was participating in their wedding. Everyone knew he was his mother-in-law Kathy Hoover’s favorite child. He will be greatly missed by Cindy, Nathaniel, Alexa, Kathy, brother Scott (Jenny) Franko, brother Scott (Krista) Vranich, Brian (Val) Davis and many other loved ones who became family he gathered along his journey. His love will be forever imprinted on all our hearts.

Always staying true to his Eagle Scout values, to which he credited Ray Davis for teaching him, even throughout his rapid decline and disease progression, he was determined to be prepared, adapted, and overcome. Our Lord and Savior chose to help Brian overcome by calling him home on Jan. 25, 2024.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you honor Brian’s memory by spending time with your loved ones, have a prayer and a meal with them, and tell them you love them.

Private graveside services will be held in Ohio.
