Ronald A Frischkorn

1945-2024

Ronald A Frischkorn passed away Jan. 15, 2024, at Trinity Medical Center Steubenville after a short illness. He was born April l7, 1945, to the late Ruth Serafy Frischkorn and Jason Herbert Frischkorn.

A lifelong resident of Yellow Creek Township, Ronnie spent his entire life on the farm. Farming was his passion, and he was always at his happiest when in the fields. He loved the changing seasons, watching the crops grow and harvesting God’s bounty. He served his Lord faithfully all his life and raised his children to live by His word. He was proud of his children and their families. They all brought him great joy.

Ronnie made friends everywhere he went. He loved to visit everyone. The farm was a gathering place for family and friends. He was famous for his chicken barbecue and homemade ice cream.

Together, he and his late wife Mary Anne (Piatt) Frischkorn, mentored many, many young men and women. They were never just farm hands but always good friends. These young people were welcomed into his home for meals, and often counseling. Laughter was shared, prayers were prayed and sometimes tears were shed. Many of those young people are now parents and grandparents, others are still in school. All carry farm and family memories with them. Perhaps they are Ronnie’s greatest legacy.

Ronnie is survived by his siblings Lillian Wellington of Wellsville; Jason (Georgeann) Frischkorn of Wellsville; twin brother, Donald B (Janice) Frischkorn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sister-in-law Mary Jo (Jon) Frischkorn of Jefferson City, Mo.; daughter Sara (Anthony) Snyder of Appleton, Wisc.; son Ronald Andrew (Danette) Frischkorn of Wellsville; grandchildren Chrissy (Adam) Kelly, Emma Snyder, Luke Frischkorn, Truman Snyder and Frank Snyder; great-grandchildren Teegan and Lennix Kelly. In addition to his parents and wife Mary Anne, he was preceded in death by his brother Jon Frischkorn and brother-in-law William Wellington.

The funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
