Robert A. Bacon

COLUMBIANA — Robert A. Bacon, 66, of Columbiana, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at his home.

Bob was born on Jan. 7, 1958, in Salem, son of the late O. Edgar and Mina (Peg) Osberg Bacon.

Bob had worked as a welder and mechanic for C. Tucker Cope Construction and Associates for over 17 years. Previously he had worked for Barth Farms, and Green Meadow Soil Service and Firestone Farms. Bob also maintained the course at Valley Golf Course where he organized many golf tournaments. He was a member of Leetonia Sportsman Club since1998 where he served as trustee for 12-plus years and was always involved in the Kids Day activities. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Canfield Fair.

Robert is survived by his three brothers, James E. (Debra) Bacon of Petersburg, Gary D. (Deborah) Bacon of North Jackson, Keith D. (Brenda) Bacon of Lisbon; two sisters, Debara L. (Frank) Satterfield of North Port, Fla., Sandra D. (Thomas) Miller of Brentwood, Tenn.; 12 nephews and nieces; and 19 great-nephews and -nieces.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at 5 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating.
