Susan ‘Sue’ Diane Johanson

On Thursday morning, Dec. 7, Susan “Sue” Diane Johanson went peacefully, with family by her side, called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born Aug. 1, 1946 to Donald Ross Keen and Pauline Cordelia, (Baab), Keen.

After graduating in 1964 from Marlington High School, she worked at the Alliance City Hospital, G.C. Murphys and Walmart.

She loved gardening, especially her 360 varieties of Daylillies, bird watching from her She Shed, interior decorating and spending time with her family.

As a member of Damascus Methodist Church, she served on many committees and enjoyed visiting the shut-ins at Copeland Oaks Retirement Community.

Preceding her in death are her infant son James, parents and infant sister.

She married Art Johanson in 1967 and they became parents to Jeff, Tiffany, and Amanda. She is a proud Grandma to Gavin, Isabella, Ethan and Austin.

Left to cherish memories are husband Art; son Jeff, with wife Chris and son Gavin; daughter Tiffany Stout and husband Todd; daughter Amanda Browning and her husband Paul and children, Isabella, Ethan and Austin. Also, brothers Tim and Bob Keen, sister Debbie Anderson and her husband Carl; sisters-in-law Betty McGirr and LaVerne Vafides, and many nieces and nephews.

Surrounded by His glory, what will her eyes see? “We Can Only Imagine.”

There will be a “Celebration Of Life” service Jan. 6, 2024 at the Damascus Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road, Damascus, Ohio. Family will receive guests from 10 to 11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch.
