Robert N. Brosius

1939-2023

EAST LIVERPOOL – Robert N. Brosius, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, Dec. 26, 2023, at his home. He was 84.

Born in Pittsburgh, April 25, 1939, he was a son of the late John P. Brosius Sr. and Wilhelmena C. Smith Brosius. He graduated from Aspinwall High School and continued on to Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He moved to the area in the early 1970s and worked at RMI Titanium as chief metallurgist until retiring in 2002. At one time Bob was active at Good Shephard United Methodist Church and Calcutta United Presbyterian Church, and most recently was attending the First Free Methodist Church. During retirement, he volunteered as a chaplain at East Liverpool City Hospital and managed 3R’s Educational Supplies with his wife Alice.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, high school sweetheart and love of his life, Alice Jean Brosius. The couple married Feb. 4, 1961. Also left behind are three daughters, Diane Parsons of Arizonia, Debra Unrue and her husband, Rick, of Florida, and Barbara Eisenhart and her husband, Mark, of Wellsville. There are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A brother survives as well, D. Bruce Brosius of California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John P. “Jack” Brosius Jr.

Pastor David Quillen will conduct a funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
