Mary R. (Perry) Sevek

COLUMBIANA — Mary R. (Perry) Sevek, a resident of Columbiana, passed away Dec. 17, 2023 at Hospice House of the Valley in North Lima.

Mary was born in Salem, Ohio, Nov. 21, 1952, a daughter of the late Eugene and Nora (Slates) Perry. Mary was raised in Leetonia and Lisbon, graduating from David Anderson High School in 1971. Mary lived the majority of her life in Columbiana, where she met the love of her life, Frank Sevek. They married Sept. 1, 1979.

Mary is survived by her son Jacob Sevek (Angela) of Columbiana and two grandchildren, Eli and Lydia Sevek. She is also survived by a sister, Yvonne Perry, and brothers Eugene Perry and Larry Perry, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sevek.

Mary was a bookkeeper most of her life and retired completely in 2018. In her retirement she most enjoyed reading and spending time with her two grandchildren.

Mary had elected several years ago to donate her body to NEO MED. She requested to not have a funeral or calling hours. Her family will have a celebration of life in the spring of 2024.
