SALINEVILLE -- Mary Ann Cole, 70, of Salineville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, at her home.
She was born Feb. 2, 1953, in East Liverpool, the daughter of Mary Fern (Owens) Cunningham of East Liverpool and the late Robert Cunningham.
Mary graduated from Wellsville High School in 1971. She was employed for 40 years with the United States Postal Service, having served as postmaster at the Elkton Post Office for 21 years before retiring in 2012. Mary was a member of the Salineville/Carrollton Eastern Star, the Salineville Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, and the tourism bureau of Elkrun Township.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremiah (Michelle) Cole of Wellsville and Cody (Leann) Cole of Wellsville; and four grandchildren, Kailee Paige Cole, Kolton Cole, Kori Cole and Conor Cole.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville, with Pastor Pat Smith officiating. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of the Eastern Star will conduct a service at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mary's name to the Wellsville Alumni Activities Committee, PO Box 194, Wellsville, OH 43968.
