Thomas Steve Sevek

Thomas Steve Sevek, 87, of Lisbon died Nov. 26, 2023 at Salem Community Hospital.

Tom was born in Highlandtown, Ohio, Sept. 21, 1936, a son of the late Steve Sevek and Anna (Gruszecki) Sevek.

Having lived his life in the area, Tom graduated from Salineville High School class of 1954. He was a truck driver for over 30 years, working for his Uncle Frank, Atlantic Richfield and as an owner/operator of Sevek Trucking. He also worked at Summitville Tile for 16 years, retiring from there in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with family, was an avid card player, kept a pristine yard and was his ornery self until the end. He was a member of St John’s The Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Tom is survived by his wife Martha (Bryan) Sevek, whom he married June 22, 1957; two sons, David Sevek (Robin) of Carrollton, Dennis Sevek of Minerva; two daughters, Diane Morris (Allen) of Lisbon, Debora Kline (Matthew) of Lisbon; a brother, James Sevek of Highlandtown; grandchildren, Scottie, Ashley, Sara (Ben), Megan (Heath), Meredith (AJ), Dario, Emily, Zachary, Tiffany, Jessica, Jennifer (Herbie); and great grandchildren, Asher, Elsie, Ayden and Addison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Sevek, and three sons, Donald, Dale and Darrell.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John’s in Summitville Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m.
