Ted Lloyd Doyle, 72, of Salem, Ohio passed away peacefully Nov. 1, 2023, following a brief battle with cancer. Born Oct. 17, 1951, the son of Willis and Mabel Doyle, Ted grew up on a small farm outside Lisbon, Ohio. Ted graduated from David Anderson High School in 1970.
A jack of all trades, he owned a bar, a service station, and, most recently, "Fat Ted's" diner in Washingtonville. He held jobs as a roofer, a plumber, and for many years, a foreman at an injection molding plant. He made many lifelong friends at the plant.
Ted enjoyed gardening, cooking, raising tropical fish, making ice cream and taking fishing trips to Canada with his sons and grandson. Ted will be remembered for his dry, sarcastic sense of humor, his lavish Thanksgiving dinners, his famous apple pies, and his "best you ever had" ice cream.
Surviving Ted are his children, Ted (Matt) Doyle, Micheal Doyle, Andrew Doyle and Brandy Doyle; his grandsons, Caden Doyle and Aiden McKenzie; and his siblings, Tom Doyle, Tim Doyle and Kathy Doyle.
Preceding Ted were his parents, Willis and Mabel.
