Louis A. Kramer, 74, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday morning, October 12, 2023.
He was born in Salem, June 8, 1949 to the late Louis P. Kramer and Flossie Juanita Kramer. Lou was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His siblings are Phil Kramer and Karlene Kramer.
He is survived by second wife of 45 years, four children, J.R. (Holly) Kramer of Summerville, SC, Shawn (Michele) Kramer of Lakeland, Fla., Alissa (Joe) Stout of Berlin Center, and Jill (Chris) Judt of Ft. Wayne, Ind. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy; Elias, Lucas and Rosalie Kramer, Shawn and Skye Kramer, Madeline and Christian Stout, Crystal, Miranda, Taylor, Ian, and Deaven. The great-grandchildren are Brantley (Madeline), Echo and Rhythm (Miranda).
He was honorably discharged from the Army where he was a Vietnam War Veteran. His unit was captured by the Russians when his plane entered Russia air space prior to going to Vietnam. He worked as a field service engineer in the heat treatment plants where he traveled extensively including China, Brazil, Korea, Russia and throughout the United States. He retired in 2011.
He served on the board of condo association and attended many classmate dinners. He enjoyed his family, sailing, kayaking, bike riding, camping, ice hockey, pickleball and playing rummy.
He lived in Austintown!
