NEGLEY -- James A. Burson, age 83, passed away Monday at his residence.
James was born February 6, 1940, in Negley, the son of Ralph and Mary (Burlingame) Burson and was a lifelong area resident.
After graduating from high school Jim enlisted in the Marines. He was a self-employed electrician and construction worker still working at the time of his death. He was an avid reader and enjoyed bird watching.
Jim is survived by his daughter Beverly (Gregory) Nichols of East Palestine, daughter-in-law, Veronica Burson of Negley, grandchildren; April (Chandler Trosky) Pettigrew, Amber (Jordan) Thompson, Thomas Burson Jr., Haylie Burson, Shawn Barnard Jr., great-grandchildren; Eryn, Brennan, and Quinton.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor (Murphy) Burson and his son Thomas Burson Sr.
Following Jim's wishes there are no services at this time.
Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
