Jayne Lynn Barker

NEW WATERFORD — Jayne Lynn Barker, 70, passed away October 18, 2023, at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana.

Jayne was born May 6, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor DeShields Mauerman.

Jayne was a graduate of Struthers High School and a past madam president of the New Waterford Eagles. She was employed at Hills Department store in the accounting department for several years. She enjoyed walking in her yard looking at flowers and feeding the hummingbirds and cardinals. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

Jayne is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Barker; daughter, Ashleigh (Nicholas) Rardon of Crestview, Fla.; brother, Richard Mauerman, Jr. of East Palestine and two grandchildren, Damian and Savannah Rardon.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford with Pastor Jeff Schoch officiating.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
