Charles H. Pelley Sr.

We sadly announce that on Oct. 2, 2023 our father, Charles H. Pelley Sr. of Wellsville, passed to be with the Lord. He was born Dec. 1, 1925. He honorably and bravely served in the United States Army with Tank Battalion 756

He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth Eva (Grindle) and Emmet L. Pelley Sr.; and his siblings, Donna Mercer, Helen McIntosh, Colleen Rosenlieb, Robert Pelley and Emmet Pelley Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Crowe) Pelley; children, Charles Jr. (Sandy), David (Michelle), Jerri Smith (Bill) and Terry; sisters, Rose Mary Larbig and Joann Turick; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Private viewing hours were held at Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville followed by a military funeral at Oak Ridge Church with the 442 American Legion of Salineville performing a military honor salute on Oct. 5, 2023.
