Gladys V. Rowe

SALEM — Gladys V. Rowe, 93, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem.

Gladys was born June 24, 1930, in New Matamoras, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Hannah Belle (Stacy) Cline.

Gladys had worked different jobs over the years but was most importantly a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, cooking and baking. Gladys was a member of Red Hats Society.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Karen Yarwood and her husband Ronald of Salem, Philip Gilmore and his wife Heather of Woodsfield and Tracey Gilmore and his wife Carol of Lisbon; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Gilmore; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Hannah Belle Cline; two sons, Floyd Gilmore and Charles Gilmore; one grandson; three sisters, Audra Gilmore, Stella Mellott and Lucille Cline; and two brothers, Roy Cline and Lawrence Cline.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Food Bank in Gladys’s name.

Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
