Edward W. Wilson

Edward W. Wilson, 58, of Salineville passed away unexpectedly at home on August 12, 2023.

He was born on June 30, 1965 a son of the late Jack Wilson and Audrey (Love) Wilson.

Having lived all his life in the area, Ed attended Carrollton High School and graduated from the Carroll County Vocational School Class of 1983. He owned and operated Wilson Logging.

Ed loved being outdoors, spending time at the ponds fishing and ice fishing. He was an avid hunter and also loved cooking over an open fire. His farm was a paradise. His happy place to grow and hunt off the land.

Ed is survived by his companion of over 25 years Hazel (Chris) Cambell; three children: Casey Ochoa (Luis) of Pittsburgh, Shawna Riggs of Salineville and Joseph Riggs Jr. (Kristen Cline-companion); two sisters: Virginia (Skinner) Wilson of Akron, Ohio, Andrea (Andi) Wilson of Windsor, SC; a brother: Stephen Wilson of Newell W.Va.; seven grandchildren: Jordyn, Madison, Westen, Alexandria, Joseph, Gio, Louis and one great-grandchild: Daxton (Axe). As well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville with Pastor Mark Blakely officiating.

Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. up until the time of service at 6 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Donations may be made directly to the funeral home or by the obituary donation link.
