Thomas James ‘Tom’ Haugh
1943-2023
WELLSVILLE — Thomas James “Tom” Haugh, 80, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1943, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Charles Haugh. In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death on December 6, 2008, by his wife, Mary Kathryn “Kathy” (Kozora) Haugh, whom he married September 19, 1964. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dottie Tarbuck, and his uncle, William S. Haugh.
Tom graduated from Wellsville High School in 1961 and from Kent State University in 1975. He owned and operated Center Pharmacy in Wellsville until his retirement. Tom most recently worked part time as an associate at Roberts Funeral Home. He was a founding member of the former Wellsville Lions Club and enjoyed helping with the Care and Share Program at Christmas. Tom was a life member of the NRA, held a position on the Columbiana County Board of Health, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of Wellsville First Christian Church. Above all else, Tom valued his time with his family.
Survivors include his children: Jeffrey (Susan) Haugh of Wellsville and Andrea (Mark) LaVigne of Wabasha, Minn.; and six grandchildren: Thomas, Megan, and Morgan LaVigne, all of Wabasha, Minn., Louie D’Angelo III of Wellsville, Lyndsy (Brennen) Kelly of East Liverpool, and Lauren (Steve) Tomayko of Freedom, Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the church officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
