Margaret Elizabeth Blackburn

Margaret E. Blackburn, age 93, of Summitville passed away on Friday June 30, 2023. She was born at home on July 17, 1929 to the late Metro and Mary Jane Chory. She graduated from Salineville High School. Margaret married the love of her life Charles Blackburn on February 10, 1953 and he died on February 22, 2017. Margaret enjoyed doing art such as her paintings. She also liked to work in her garden. She was a talented seamstress. Margaret was an active member of St. John the Evangelist in Summitville.

Survivors are her children Ed (Karla) Blackburn, Karen (Chris) Brothers, Phyllis (Rick) Lautzenheiser, Kenny (Cheryl) Blackburn, Theresa (Jim) Burgess, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her siblings John, Mary, Wotring, Pete, Joe and Anna.

Calling hours will be held at St. John the Evanelist church in Summitville on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 6, 2023 prior to the service. The Mass of Christian Burial will be start at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
