Roy H. Todd

EAST PALESTINE — Roy H. Todd, 84, passed away May 29, 2023, unexpectedly at his home.

Roy was born December 7, 1938, in Rogers, Ohio, son of the late Clarence and Anna Henderson Todd.

He was a 1956 graduate of New Waterford High School and a veteran of the US Army. Roy worked many years at Franklin Furniture as a finisher and later went on to work at Freshmark in Salem for a number of years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Roy volunteered at the church, 4H, and the Rogers Group Home throughout the years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and watching wildlife on his property.

Roy is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie (Jeffery) Miller of Goshen Twp., Sue Ellen (Michael) Costello of Jackson Twp.; granddaughter, Sierra Miller; and four sisters, Mary Lou Steeb, Martha (Harry) Bowker, Florence (John) Mrugala and Shirley Jakubowski.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Todd in 2019, a son in infancy, five brothers, Warren, George, Robert, James and John “Bill” Todd as well as a sister, Helen Knopp.

The family will receive friends at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home Thursday from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will follow at East Carmel Cemetery.
