William Lawrence Jackson Sr.

SALEM — William Lawrence Jackson Sr., 71, of Salem, died early Friday morning, March 10, 2023, at the Truman House of Community Hospice in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

He was born August 13, 1951, in Salem, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Jenkins) Jackson.

William was a lifetime resident of the Salem area, graduating from Salem Senior High School. He served in the United States Army from 1971-1973 after which he was honorably discharged. William worked for over 30 years at Electric Furnace in Salem. He was a Lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 45 and served on the Salem Honor Guard.

He is survived by his children, Angella (Michael) Hazelbaker and William (Stephanie) Jackson Jr. both of Salem, his sister Peggy (Mark) Fitzpatrick of Minerva, as well as his four grandchildren; Kellsey, Luke, Sophia, and Lilly.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Jackson, Maryann Lamovsky, and Karen Deatley.

There are no services planned at this time.

Arrangements were made by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
