Donald K. ‘Don’ Elliott
								1964-2023
WELLSVILLE — Donald K. “Don” Elliott, 58, of Wellsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born December 30, 1964, in East Liverpool, the son of Mary Ann (Welch) and the late James D. Elliott. In addition to his father, Don was preceded in death by his brother, James “Doug” Elliott.
Don graduated from Wellsville High School in 1983 and then continued his education at Kent State University and West Liberty University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1988. He also completed his Master’s Degree through Mary Grove College. Don was currently employed with the Wellsville Local School District where he had been a teacher and Athletic Director for the past thirty-four years. He was well-known for his love of the Wellsville Tigers and the children in the school district. Don previously coached girls and boys basketball and track. He was a member of the Wellsville Sons of Italy Lodge 657, Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040, WHS Scholarship Committee, and was a previous member of the Wellsville Hall of Fame Committee. Don also enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Karen (Chema) Elliott, whom he married June 11, 1998; twin brother, Ron (Kathy) Elliott of East Liverpool; five nieces and nephews: Billy, Amber, Sanna, Chad, and Chelsea; and six great-nieces and three great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Click of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Don’s name to the Wellsville Athletic Department, 1 Bengal Blvd, Wellsville, OH 43968.
