David L. ‘Dave’ Kay

CANTON — David L. “Dave” Kay, age 69 of Canton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 following a long illness.

He was born on May 25, 1953 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Eddie and Beverly (Frontz) Kay. Dave was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet (Floor) Kay, children, Daniel (Alissa) Kay, Angela Kay, Michelle (Thomas) Crawford, and Allen Kay, grandchildren: Mollie, Megan, Destiny, Steven, Tieler, Cennadi, Thomas, Alexis, Madeline, Dylan, and Aylin, sisters, Jackie McKay, Barbara (Gary) Brunckorst, and Alisza (Gregg) Mershimer.

Per David’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity benefiting diabetic research.

Thank you to the nurses and doctors of Mercy’s ICU for keeping David comfortable.
