Robert ‘Bob’ Noel
EAST PALESTINE — Robert “Bob” Noel, 77, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away December 1, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 9, 1944, in Columbiana County, Ohio, son of the late Lewis and Ruby Arthur Noel.
Bob worked at Magneco-Metrel in Negley in the maintenance department until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed playing cards, working on cars and watching his son’s dirt bike races.
Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years; Holly Sheerer Noel; two sons, Eric (Sara Muff) Noel of Columbus, David (Geri) Noel of East Palestine; two daughters, Carrie Mattocks of Enon Valley, Pa. and Marnie Noel of East Palestine; two sisters, Patricia Stamp and Jane Moreira both of Columbiana; brother, Duke Guy of Arizona; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Robert Noel, Jr.; two brothers, Raymond and James Noel and a sister, Helen Cresanto.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
