Naomi A. Mattern
ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania – Naomi A. Mattern, 87, of Allentown, Pa., formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at Pheobe-Allentown. Naomi was born in East Liverpool, Ohio March 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Lester and Anna (Rickerd) White. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church. Naomi worked for Knowles Pottery, Hall China and Homer Laughlin.
Preceding Naomi in death were her husband, whom she married Nov. 7, 1953, Norman E. Mattern; son Norman P. Mattern; three children who passed as infants; and three brothers, Lester “Bud,” Jim and Kenny White.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Connie Benton and her husband Robert of Allentown, Pa., and Vicky Souders of Mount Orab, Ohio; three grandchildren, Natalie Reed and her husband Eric of East Liverpool, Summer Gordon and her husband Eric of Columbus, Ohio, and Erik Souders and his wife Tia of Andover, Ohio; 10 great-grandchildren, Clifton, Caleigh, Andrue, Lanie, Wyatt, Emersyn, Stella, Eli, Scarlett and Rae; brother Elbert White and his wife Sherry of East Liverpool; and sister-in-law Gloria White of East Liverpool.
A private service will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
