Matthew Scott Stanley

He was born Nov. 13, 1966, in Beaver Falls, Pa., son of the late Maynard and Betty Keeton Stanley.

Scott was a graduate of Blackhawk High School and a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a marine corps medic. He previously worked as a bartender for State Line Bar and Tavern and most recently was a sorter for the US Post Office distribution center. Scott loved traveling, and exploring the Rockies, he even lived in Colorado for a few years. He also enjoyed music and was an avid guitar player.

Scott is survived by two sons, Wyatt and Brett Stanley, both of New Waterford, and two grandchildren, Caiden Matthew Stanley and Maybelle Elizabeth Stanley.

He was preceded by his parents, Maynard and Betty Stanley, as well as two brothers, Mike and Allen Stanley.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Jason Pancake officiating.
