Deborah L. ‘Debbie’ (Diequez) Edwards

Debbie was born in Okeechobee, Fla. on September 13, 1975. She worked as a manager at Red Lobster in Boardman. Debbie loved gardening, cooking, canning and her dogs but above everything else she loved being a nana. She was an avid pool player. Debbie was a member of the Potters Club in East Liverpool and was a vital part of reestablishing the club. She was also a member of the Wellsville Eagles and Chester American Legion.

Preceding Debbie in death were her stepdaughter Kylie Wendall; father Edwin Diequez; sister Loraine VanKirk; father-in-law Roger A. Edwards, Sr. and three of her beloved dogs Pudge, Zoey and Elly Mae.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband whom she married June 27, 2014, Scott Edwards; mother Deborah L. (Irvin) Diequez of Lisbon; son Daniel Edwards and his wife Ashlee of Rogers; granddaughter, whom was the center of her universe, Kallie Edwards; son, whom she was recently reconnected with, Sean Benner and his children Mason Lee Benner and Indika Moon Gaines of Bristol, Ind.; two brothers Edwin Lee Diequez of Canton, Ohio and Charles Joseph Diequez and his wife Sara of Wellsville, Ohio; mother-in-law Janie Edwards of Lisbon; brother-in-law Roger Edwards, Jr. and his wife Pam of Lisbon; sister-in-law and teammate Catherine Blankenship of East Liverpool; sister-in-law Candace Homan of East Liverpool; many nephews and nieces including Mark VanKirk, Matt VanKirk, Luke VanKirk and Ryder Diequez and her beloved dogs Gio and Izzy.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Gary Lemasters will conduct a service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
