David Allen McVay
SALEM — David Allen McVay, 64, of Salem, died at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the emergency room of Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born on December 30, 1957, in Salem, the son of Delores Louise (Boso) McVay and the late Kenneth LeRoy McVay.
He last worked at American Standard in Salem. In his younger years, he enjoyed going fishing, travel around to different places and watch old westerns. David had also been active in AA in the area.
In addition to his mother of Millport, he is survived by his children: Matthew “Andy” McVay and Justin (Ashley) McVay both of Salem, siblings: Brian “Bones” McVay of E. Liverpool, Michael (Amy) McVay of Salineville, Pamela (Thomas) Crawford of Salineville, and Kimberly (Jon) Sabatino of Millport, and two grandchildren.
In addition to his father and step father Gail McVay, he was preceded in death by siblings: Patricia McVay and Timothy McVay.
A time of gathering will be held on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
