Frank M. Buffone
EAST PALESTINE — Frank M. Buffone, 91, a resident of East Palestine since 1955, passed away July 3, 2022 at Covington Skilled Nursing Home.
Frank was born December 7, 1930, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Albert and Carolina Arcuri Buffone.
Although born in Ohio, Frank was raised in Italy and moved back to Steubenville in 1949 before moving to East Palestine a few years later. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Leetonia.
Frank worked for the railroad in the tower at Market Street and was in charge of putting the gates down before they were later automated. In his later years he worked at the Eagles Lodge. Frank was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge in East Palestine.
He is survived by a brother, John (Donna) Buffone; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends Linda and Doug Lammert.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Concetta Carfora.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Linsley-Royal Funeral Home of East Palestine.
