Mary Yost Wilkinson
Mary Yost Wilkinson, 77, former resident of Wellsville and 1963 graduate of Wellsville High School, died June 2, 2022, surrounded by family at her Florida home.
Mary was born February 18, 1945 in East Liverpool, daughter of the late James and Ruth (Boley) Yost.
Since graduating from Wellsville High School in 1963, Mary spent her life caring for her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mary was an excellent cook and baker. Following her passion for cooking and party planning, she worked in several restaurants, banquet halls and a country club over the years. She also held a position as a basket weaver. After retiring to Florida, Mary was known for hosting tea parties with over 100 guests. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gerald “Jerry” Wilkinson; their two daughters, Tamara (Charles) Blank and Clarissa (John) D’Alesandro; one son, Gerald Jr. (Emily); all of Florida, as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Yost; mother, Ruth (Boley) Yost; sister, Nancy (Yost) Mathews Guericke; and brother, James “Bill” Yost.
Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
