Louis (Louie) Joseph Quinn Jr.
SALEM — Louis (Louie) Joseph Quinn Jr., 68, of Salem, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at his mother’s home after a brief illness.
Louie was born December 5, 1953, in Salem, a son of the late Louis Joseph Quinn Sr. and Esther (Applegate) Quinn. Louie was a lifelong resident.
Louie was baptized as a child by his mother and most recently made the decision to dedicate his life to the Lord and was rebaptized.
Louie attended Salem Elementary, Junior High and High School. He attended Kent State Salem where he completed his CDL course.
As a young adult Louie taught a dance class and he dressed to the tee at each lesson taught. He was a machinist for many years until the early 2000’s when he decided to get his CDL. He began working with Jones Motors in 2011 where he received many awards for safe driving and years of service. Louie was very well liked and respected throughout the organization. Jones Motors customers and employees had nothing but good things to say about him stating he was always polite and courteous. He will be truly missed by all that worked with him and the many customers he worked with over the years.
As a young child, Louie played baseball, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, building boats, competing in dog shows with his great dane, Far out fields Blazin Nova, aka Blazin. Louie enjoyed life and was a man of many projects, plans and ideas. He enjoyed cooking and he loved socializing. He truly enjoyed people and life. Louie was a very special and unique individual.
Louie is survived by his mother, Esther Quinn of Salem; his daughter, Lisa (Shannon) Agee of Boardman; his two grandsons, Timothy (Jessica) Bailey of Boardman; Andrew (Brittany) Wilding of Boardman; one great-grandson, Noah Bailey of Boardman; his sister, Toni Taylor of Salem; his brother, Dusty (Deb) Quinn of Canfield; a host of nieces and nephews and many special friends.
His father, Louis Joseph Quinn Sr. preceded Louie in death.
Louie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend their greatest gratitude to Louie’s special friends who have been there for him throughout the years and with the family in the last month, Jim Greenamyer, Dave Huffman and Allen Rankin. We will forever be grateful for your helpfulness, kindness and compassion during this very difficult time.
Louie’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
His body was entrusted to Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
