Barbara Jean (Adams) Taylor
Barbara Jean (Adams) Taylor, 92, of Dade City, Fla., formerly of Findlay, Ohio, Lisbon, Ohio, and Bradenton, Fla., passed away on June 14, 2022.
She was the wife of Ted Taylor with whom she celebrated 72 years of marriage.
Born Jan. 30, 1930 in Findlay, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Margaret (Denison) Adams. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church and graduated in 1947 from Findlay High School.
She married the love of her life, Ted, in November 1949 and eventually moved to Lisbon, Ohio where they raised their eight children.
Jean was a homemaker and child care provider to many in the area. She was an active member of St. George Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society.
After retiring to Bradenton, Fla., she enjoyed traveling, playing golf, reading, and spending time with family and friends. In recent years she resided in Dade City, Fla., with daughter Susan and her family.
Jean is survived by loving husband Ted; children Susan (Robert) McCoy, Jim (Lisa) Taylor, Terri (Steve) Crane, Dr. Nancy Taylor (Dr. Perry Crowl), Judy (Doug) Sheaffer, Jon (Kammy) Taylor, Kristen (Tim) Morris; son-in-law Art Exton; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Peggy (Jerry) Bills; brother-in-law Howard Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters MaryJo Lohr, Carol Bonta, Martha Hite; and daughters Diane Taylor Exton and Leeann Taylor.
Mass of Christian burial will be held July 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Zephyrhills, Fla.
Graveside service to follow at a later date at St. Michaels cemetery Findlay, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Denison Homestead in Mystic, Conn.
