Myrtle Ann Gorby
HANOVERTON — Myrtle Ann Gorby, age 92, of Hanoverton, Ohio passed away on April 27, 2022. Ann was born on March 25, 1930 to Percy Bannen and Myrtle Effy (Booth) Gorby in Littleton, W.Va. Myrtle Ann worked at Ohio Tool and Drill for 7 years and retired from P.C.C. after 32 years.
Ann was a member of the Hanoverton Church of Christ, Ann had a devotion to seeing the message of Jesus Christ taught wherever it could be spread. Survivors include her son J.R. (Jeannie) Gorby. Daughter Debbie Gorby and her cat Snowball. Two grandsons Greg (Kelly) Gorby and Michael Gorby. Two granddaughter’s Renne (Jim) May and Tiffany (Craig) Marshall. Six great-grandchildren Asa, Sara, Shane, Kristen, Alania and Brady. Her friend Dee Belcher and many nieces and nephews known to all as Aunt Mert.
Ann was preceded in death by her son Jack Gorby and two husbands Jim Gorby and Garner “Pat” Patterson. Three sisters Jeraldine Eichberg, Rosedale Miller and Delores Kennedy. Two brothers Zinn Gorby and Harry Gorby who passed away on Ann’s 16 birthday.
Calling hours will be Saturday May 7, 2022 at Maple Cotton F.H. from 10:30 a.m. to Noon with the funeral at Noon with Pastor Chris Raynor. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery in New Freeport, Pa.
