Anthony ‘Tony’ R. Workman
EAST PALESTINE — Anthony “Tony” R. Workman, 62, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away May 22, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown following a brief illness.
Tony was born September 6, 1959, in St. Charles, W.Va., son of the late Otis and Ilene Galloway Workman.
He was employed as a machinist at Butech. Tony was a member of the East Palestine Moose Lodge and enjoyed golf and most especially helping with the special Olympics. He was a member of the high school football chain crew and a high school track official.
He is survived by his wife, Tena Perl Workman; two sons, Joshua Ray Workman of East Palestine, and Jason Daniel Workman of Columbiana; two brothers, Richard (Denise) Workman of Mooresburg, Tenn., Timothy (Carrie) Workman of East Palestine a sister, Margaret Veon of East Palestine and a granddaughter, Audrey.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Workman and a brother-in-law, Harry Veon.
Following Tony’s wishes, no public services will be held.
Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
