LAKE TOMAHAWK -- Robert L. "Bob" Rhodes, 83, of Negley, Lake Tomahawk, Ohio, passed away April 18, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Bob was born January 19, 1939 in Darlington, PA, son of the late Argel and Mary Dunham Rhodes.
He was a 1956 graduate of Darlington High School. Bob worked at B&W Steel for 30 years in the Hot Mills. He then went to work for Blackhawk School District in the maintenance department where he worked for 10 years before retirement.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Oldencott Rhodes; three children, Leslie (Robert) Pahler of Washington, PA, Eric (Heidi) Rhodes of Bogart, GA, Scott (Chrissy) Rhodes of Point Rocks, MD; a sister, Betsy Zentner; two brothers, William and Gary Rhodes; six grandchildren, Brooke McConnell, Palen Rhodes, Makena Mosser, Blake Pahler, Jena and Cassidy Rhodes as well as six great grandchildren, Weston, Owen, Poppy, Vivian, Lennon and Meadow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Dunham and Richard Rhodes and a sister, Joyce Lipp.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Columbiana with Father David Misbrenner serving as celebrant. A private burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Chippewa, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name in lieu of flowers to Lake Tomahawk Sportsman's Club, 8853 Pontiac Trail, Negley, OH 44441.
