Dorothy M. Lemley

Dorothy was born May 1, 1929, in Columbiana, Ohio daughter of the late Clinton and Ethel Horn Faulk.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in East Palestine. Dorothy was one of the first women as well as one of the oldest women Ham Radio Operators in this area and possibly the state. She was known for her call sign W8GSH. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and growing flowers.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Danny Lemley of East Palestine; three daughters, Kathy Lemley Gibbs of Iowa, Vickie Amerine of Vienna and Chris Lemley of Columbiana as well as nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lemley, Jr. in 2011 and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Fritz Nelson officiating. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
