Joanne Fowler
COLUMBIANA — Joanne Fowler, 88, was a longtime resident of the area and passed away on March 15, 2022 at her home in Columbiana with family by her side.
Joanne was born on April 7, 1933, in East Palestine, daughter of the late William and Constance Miller.
She was a 1951 graduate of East Palestine High School and very active in the community throughout her life. She was a graduate of the Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing in Salem and a longtime nursing supervisor at Nentwick Nursing Home in East Liverpool.
Joanne is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Richard) Crabtree of Westlake, Ohio and a son, Danny W. Fowler of Lisbon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny L.; her daughter, Linda (Ralph) Papania; a sister, Helen Spear.
A Celebration of Life for Joanne is planned for Friday, July 22 at Columbiana Firestone Park Pavilion #4 from 4-9 p.m.
The Family is asking that any memorial contributions be made to the Joanne Fowler Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Salem Community Foundation P.O. Box 553 Salem, OH 44460.
