Marilyn R. Ryan

Marilyn was born December 13, 1937, daughter of the late Harry F. Herbert and Mary Alice (Craik) Herbert. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School and later completed a B.A. degree with honors from Youngstown State University.

Marilyn lived in Southern California for many years where she worked on the production staff of documentary film makers Wolper Productions and National Geographic and on the post-production staff of television series such as, “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” and “Cops”. After retirement she volunteered her time assisting in the production of audio tapes for the Society of the Blind.

She is survived by her brothers, John (Dot) Herbert and Jerry Herbert; a nephew Adam Herbert; and niece Jolene (Mike) Strohecker.

Besides her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her late husband, Irwin Rosten.

Per Marilyn’s wishes no services will be held.
