Rita Joann (Stearns) Lohman

Rita was born in Beloit, Ohio on April 9, 1970 a daughter of the late Charles W. Stearns and Jean G. (Goodman) Stearns.

Having lived most of her life in the area, Rita was a graduate of West Branch High School Class of 1988. She worked as a dispatcher for the Columbiana County Sheriff’s office. She had also worked at one time for the EOCC in Lisbon as well as many years at the Columbiana County Jail.

Rita loved her animals. She was affectionately referred to as the crazy cat lady by her friends and family.

Rita is survived by her husband Fred Lohman whom she married January 5, 2007; two sons: Hoyt Lucas of Canfield and Hunter Lohman of Salineville; a daughter: Sierra Lucas of Salem, a step daughter: Miranda Canada of Morgantown W.Va.; a brother: Kenny Stearns and two sisters: Dorothy Stearns and Beverly Stearns.

Services will be held at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Tim Cashen and Rev. Jim Midcap officiating.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. up until the time of service at 6 p.m.

Rita adored and fully supported all first responders including her beloved canines from the local unit. The family requests that donations be made in her name to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Canine Fund to benefit K9 Unit “Hunter.” 105 South Market St Lisbon OH 44432
