PINELLAS, Florida -- Lloyd Welsh, 92, of Pinellas County, formerly of Columbiana, Ohio,went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 7, 2021.
Beloved husband of the late Donna (Kleist) Welsh. Loving father of Patty (and the late Wayne) Kennedy, Robert (Jackie) Welsh, Debbie (and the late Dean) Nicholas and Harry Welsh. Cherished grandfather of five, great-grandfather of two and expectant great-grandfather of one.
Besides his parents, Dad was preceded in death by his loving wife and our mother, four brothers and a sister.
He leaves one sister, Betty Borroni of Hallandale Beach, Florida, our dear uncle, cousin, neighbor and friends.
Lloyd was born to the late Samuel and Sadie (Buhecker) Welsh on March 1, 1928 at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948.
He married Donna Kleist on March 25, 1949.
Lloyd had several careers over his lifetime, including farming for T.L. Ferguson and construction for S.G. Madden and Sons in East Palestine.
Dad and Mother moved to Florida in 1989 and continued his career in maintenance, working for Mainlands Inc., in Pinellas County. He retired in 2008.
Growing up on a farm and farming most of his life is why he enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Dad loved designing and building items with wood, Christmas time, and watching old TV shows such as Walker Texas Ranger and The Heat of the Night.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, no services will be held. Interment will be held in Ohio at a later date.
