Cathleen Barcus Tolson

Cathleen was born December 5, 1923 in Salineville, OH a daughter of the late Homer and Jessie Fergason Barcus.

Cathleen lived all her life in this area and graduated from Salineville High School in 1941. She married William Tolson on June 25, 1943. She was a member of the Salineville Church of Christ. She worked at the J.C. Baxter Company. Cathleen was the last living member of the Chatter Box Club. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Cathleen will be missed by her son Gary (Dorma) Tolson of Wellsville; one daughter, Bonnie Stoffel of Salineville; five grandchildren, Beth Ann (Brian) Bentley of Salineville, Richard (Michele) Tolson of Salineville, Connie (Karl) Utt of Wellsville and , Tammy Stoffel of East Liverpool, Todd Stoffel of Wellsville; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Cathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Jessie Barcus; her husband William Tolson in 1997; two brothers, William Barcus and Homer Barcus Jr.; one sister, Shirley Lange and one great grandson, Seth Utt.

At the family’s request there will be a private family service with Fred O. May officiating. The Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville is in charge of the arrangements.
