Salem — Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 12:54 a.m. Thursday for a reported medical call. EMT advised that a person had ingested rat poison, and a witness advised they had been chewing on the substance and had multiple seizures before calling 911. The person in question was conscious, but due to other mental issues officers were unable to speak with them. Salem — Officers responded to the 700 block of Summit Street at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised their brother and daughter were threatening to harm her and her daughter had a warrant for her arrest. The brother, William Hively Jr., 55, Salem, was arrested for domestic violence and the daughter, Amanda Pedro, 36, Salem, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies at 11:52 a.m. Sunday provided mutual aid to the Ohio State Highway Patrol regarding a vehicle that crashed and was blocking Old Irondale Road in Yellow Creek Township. The operator of the vehicle was reported as being combative and refusing to exit the vehicle.
