He was concerned for his son’s welfare because he has never left before. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday to Elkton Auto Corral, Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township, for an alarm, but the owner advised it was a false alarm. — James Merino, 68, Benton Road, Salem, was charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and taken to the Columbiana County jail after deputies were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday to a burglary at a residence on Lisa Lane, Center Township. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday to an address on Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township where prowlers had been reported. The caller told the deputy the people had been under his trailer for the last four to six hours, however, when he called the sheriff’s office, he told the people he called and they fled on foot. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies and Lisbon police units responded at 4:11 p.m. Sunday to the Travelers Inn, state Route 45, Center Township for a domestic and learned en route that a person had an active warrant from Columbiana County. Upon arrival, the female victim said the suspect was still on the property. Deputies and Lisbon police officers started checking the property and apartments and found Kevin Neely, 44, state Route 45, Lisbon and apprehended him.
