-- A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Morris Road, Elkrun Township. A deputy came across a white Amazon van that matched the caller's description and saw no other vans.

-- A deputy at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday spoke with a woman on Holmeswood Drive, Butler Township, in reference to her 17-year-old grandson driving a dirt bike on the public roadways without a license plate or valid driver's license. She was advised if her grandson is observed operating the dirt bike on public roadways, he will receive a citation and the dirt bike will be towed.

-- A spokesman for FCI Elkton, Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township, called at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday to report a vehicle parked near the water tower and a man trespassing on the property. The vehicle was gone upon arrival and there was no contact with anyone on the property or in the area.

-- Deputies responded at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday to state Route 45, Center Township to conduct a welfare check and were met by the person and his girlfriend. Deputies were advised by the person that he was fine and wanted his girlfriend to leave for the night. Deputies advised ok and the girlfriend said she was leaving.

-- A deputy responded to the Beaver Creek Campground on Leslie Road, Middleton Township after being called at 11:45 p.m. Monday to assist the Ohio Department of Natural Resources with a call they had. ODNR said the people left a Kia and asked for help locating the vehicle. A deputy found the vehicle and performed a traffic stop, then notified ODNR. ODNR responded and spoke to the people involved, advising them of campground rules.

Highway Patrol

-- Charles L. Morris, 65, New Castle, Pa., was cited for a stop sign violation after his eastbound vehicle on Heck Road entered the intersection and was struck by a northbound vehicle on state Route 7 driven by Thomas C. Hartig, 48, Park Court, Columbiana at 4:43 p.m. Sept. 27 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.

-- Carson R. Peck Campbell, 21, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, was cited for assured clear distance after his southbound vehicle struck the rear of another southbound vehicle driven by Julie L. Smith, 52, state Route 267, East Liverpool, on state Route 7 at 9:03 p.m. Sept. 26 in Fairfield Township. Smith suffered a possible injury, but was not transported.

-- Matthew S. Jackson, 45, Churchill Road, Lisbon, was cited for reasonable control after his southbound vehicle traveled off of the right side of Scroggs Road and struck a tree at 8:01 p.m. Sept. 25 in Elkrun Township. No injuries were reported.
